A 5-member delegation led by YAO Yingxue, Rector of HITSZ, visited Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIM Tech) on March 9th, 2016.

WEI Jun, Group Manager of Joining Technology Group in SIM Tech, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the development and research focus of SIM Tech. He hoped that this visit would enhance mutual understanding and explore cooperation in areas of joint-research and joint laboratory establishment between SIM Tech and HITSZ.

YAO Yingxue said he was glad to visit SIM Tech which is a well-known institution in the field of materials science. He hoped that cooperation between two institutions can be developed in the near future. After the meeting, the delegation toured SIM Tech–NTU 3D Additive Manufacturing Joint Laboratory.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited Nanyang Technological University and received a warm welcome from Tim White, Research Director if the Research Strategy and Coordination Unit of the President Office. YAO Yingxue gave a brief introduction of HITSZ and exchanged information about cooperation in areas joint research and student exchange with White. Both of the institutions believed that this visit is a good start for further cooperation.
