HITSZ faculty member Professor Yu Zhou has been elected Fellow of Australasia Fluid Mechanics Society recently for his significant achievements in his research field. Professor Yu Zhou is expert in the area of Fluid Dynamics including turbulent shear flows (wakes, jets, boundary layers) and their control, wing aerodynamics, flow-induced vibrations/noise and control, burner flame and control. He is the first Chinese and Asian fellow in the organization. Most of the 20 Fellows in the organization are academicians of Australian Academy of Science and American Academy of Science.

Professor Yu Zhou is also member of the “Recruitment Program for Global Experts” by the Organizing Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China from 2010.
