Since its foundation, the school has undertaken over 4400 state-funded research projects; has 2067 patent applications and 922 authorized ones; has published over 5700 SCI index papers and over 11000 EI index papers.

Professor Song Qinghai’s team has achieved important breakthrough in ultrafast modulated microlaser, with a paper published on Science named “Ultrafast control of vortex microlasers” on February 28^th, 2020.
