SHENZHEN, December 31 — A delegation led by Kim Hansung, Vice President for International Affairs at Hanyang University, visited the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen (HITSZ) from December 29 to 31, 2025. HITSZ Vice President Zhang Qinyu met with the delegation to discuss opportunities for deepening the cooperation between the two institutions.

During the meeting, Zhang Qinyu highlighted the undergraduate program in Communication Engineering, a joint initiative launched in summer 2025 with 99 students. He emphasized HITSZ’s commitment to cultivating talent with global competence and expressed hopes to expand research collaboration in frontier fields such as green low-carbon development and intelligent manufacturing.

Kim Hansung commended HITSZ’s research strengths and development model. Highlighting Hanyang University’s expertise in engineering and industry-university collaboration, he expressed a strong desire to deepen cooperation in joint training and research innovation to foster international talent and technological advancement.

Faculty representatives from mechanical engineering and computer science also exchanged views on the cooperative program and research directions, focusing on cultivating future-oriented engineering talent. The delegation later toured HITSZ’s Centre for Experiment and Innovation Practice Education.
