SHENZHEN, January 8 — A delegation of faculty and students from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen (HITSZ) visited the UNESCO International Centre for Higher Education Innovation (ICHEI) on January 8, 2026. The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on student internships, practical training, and resource sharing.
During the visit, the delegation toured the ICHEI facilities and gained insights into the centre’s establishment background as well as its key achievements. Participating students noted that the visit was instrumental in deepening their understanding of global educational cooperation and practice.
One undergraduate student observed that ICHEI serves as more than just a platform equipped with smart classrooms and digital resources; it is a vital international network dedicated to promoting equity in education and the open sharing of knowledge globally. Another student mentioned that the experience inspired reflection on personal development, motivating them to enhance their capabilities and broaden their international horizons to better engage with global issues.
This visit was organized by the GBA Training Centre for the Cultivation and Development of New Youth Global Competence at HITSZ. Looking ahead, the centre plans to continue advancing the cultivation of interdisciplinary engineering talent. Future initiatives will focus on aligning curriculum systems with international standards and exploring new models of educational cooperation that integrate global resources in the era of artificial intelligence.
