SHENZHEN, November 8 — Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen (HITSZ) came alive with color and music on November 8 as it hosted its first International Culture Carnival. Themed “Harmony in Diversity, Walking Together with the World,” the event featured three major sections: the “Window of the World” cultural exhibition, the “Global Parade,” and the “Universal Stage” variety show. The immersive activities offered faculty and students a unique opportunity to experience global cultures.
The festivities began with a vibrant parade featuring international students waving flags and engaging with the crowd. The atmosphere was electric as students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Liberia, and other countries took the stage for performances ranging from singing and dancing to fashion shows and Chinese martial arts. The accompanying garden party hosted 33 cultural booths where students showcased traditional handicrafts, cuisine, and folk customs. Participants collected stamps on “cultural passports,” fostering mutual understanding and friendship.
During the event, the university also presented the 2025 Universiade Scholarship in Shenzhen and the HITSZ “Star of Excellence” awards. These honors recognize academic excellence and encourage international students to contribute to cultural and economic exchange between China and the world.
