On October 19, the 338th China Engineering Science and Technology Forum, which focused on technologies and applications in deep space exploration, was concluded in Shenzhen. The forum was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and organized by the Information and Electronic Engineering Division of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Lunar Exploration and Space Engineering Center of China National Space Administration, and HITSZ. At the three-day event, over 200 experts shared their views about deep space exploration, an area at the frontier of global competition in science and technology. Here in Shenzhen, a hotbed of innovations, these experts looked up to the bright stars and demystified the cosmos.

It was the first time that HITSZ had organized a China Engineering Science and Technology Forum. The event had three sub-forums, which were about cutting-edge scientific issues, core engineering technologies, and resource utilization & innovative development, respectively. 30 experts made keynote presentations at the sub-forums, and participants had fruitful discussion on the world’s most advanced research as well as the current situation in China. They talked about objectives, tasks, and measures in deep space exploration, complete with insightful suggestions.
