[Announced by Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen] (Xiang Bixia/Text, Photo) On August 29th, Zhen Liang, Executive Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, awarded the appointment letter to Professor Shen Xuemin, the newly appointed Chief Academic Consultant of the university.

Professor Shen Xuemin is an Academician of Royal Academy of Sciences, Academy of Engineering and Engineering Research Institute of Canada, a Fellow of the International Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Chief Professor of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada. He has published more than 630 academic journal papers, more than 590 conference papers, edited 6 monographs and more than 40 monograph chapters, and won the IEEE Academic Contribution Award and the University of Waterloo's Teaching and Educating Award for many times. At the same time, he is also the editor-in-chief of several international academic journals, and has served as the chairman of conferences and technical committees of dozens of international conferences related to this field.
