[Announced by Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen] (School of Computer Science and Technology/Text, Photo) On November 6, the list of executive committees from 2019 to 2021 was announced at the Executive Committee Meeting of the Asian Federation of Natural Language Processing (AFNLP). Professor Xu Ruifeng from the School of Computer Science and Technology of Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen was elected as a member of the Executive Committee and served as the Chairman of the Asian Language Resources Committee, responsible for organizing the construction and promotion of natural language resources in Asia, and promoting the academic and industrial development of natural language processing in Asia.
It is reported that AFNLP was founded in 2000 and is an authoritative academic organization in the field of natural language processing in Asia. Ten scholars and researchers from Korea, Japan, China and other countries and regions serve as members of this Executive Committee. Xu Ruifeng is the only executive committee member from Chinese mainland, and also one of the chairmen of the two committees under the Federation. (Editor Chang Xi)
