[Announced by Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen] (School of Electronic and Information Engineering/Text, Photo) On November 22, the Chinese Academy of Engineering announced the results of the 2019 academician cooptation, and Professor Shen Xuemin, Chief Academic Adviser of our university, was elected as a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Professor Shen Xuemin is an academician of Royal Academy of Sciences, Academy of Engineering and Engineering Research Institute of Canada, a Fellow of International Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Chief Professor of Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada. In August this year, he was hired as the Chief Academic Consultant of Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, and would assist the development of related disciplines in the fields of mobile AD hoc networks and sensor networks, mobility and resource management of wireless communication networks, broadband wireless access, network modeling and performance analysis.
