[Announced by Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen] (School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Automation/Text, Photo) Recently, the 2019 IEEE ROBIO 2019 was held, with 445 delegates from 38 countries and regions around the world attending the conference. 2 undergraduate theses in the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Automation, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen were included by the conference, and Song Shuang, an assistant professor, led the students to attend the conference and gave oral reports as the thesis instructor.

The paper "Design of a magnetically-driven untethered micro-gripper for drug delivery" by Mao Yunxuan, a 2017 undergraduate, focused on the field of minimally invasive vascular surgery, and proposed a structure of magnetically controlled micro-tweezers, which could realize remote control of intravascular administration and sampling. The paper "Design, Control and Analysis of a Dual-arm Continuum Flexible Robot System" jointly completed by 2017 undergraduates Wang Chenxi, Li Zhi, Ren Yunfan and Deng Yuwen, was based on the national undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship project, and designed a multi-arm continuous robot system facing the natural cavity, which provided a new idea for the multi-instrument collaborative minimally invasive surgery in vivo. These two papers would be officially published by IEEE as the selected papers of ROBIO 2019. (Editor Wu Ruichan)
