[Announced by Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen] (Zhou Yexin, Xie Lianghui/Text) Recently, the 2nd International Engineering Mechanics Contest (Asian Region) was held in Hohai University, which was divided into individual contest and team contest. Harbin Institute of Technology won 2 special prizes, 3 first prizes and 7 second prizes in the individual contest, 2 special prizes and 2 first prizes in the team contest, among which Shenzhen Campus won 1 special prize, 5 second prizes in the individual contest and 2 first prizes in the team contest. Ye Kaipeng of Shenzhen Campus and Jia Fenghao of the main campus won the special prize with the results of the 5th and 8th in the individual contest respectively.

The International College Students Engineering Mechanics Contest was jointly sponsored by several universities in the Russian Federation in 2005. The content of the contest is theoretical mechanics, the contest questions are expressed in English, and the answers are required in English. It is full of innovation and challenges, and it is internationally recognized as a difficult theoretical contest for mechanics courses. This contest attracted 419 contestants from 56 universities in China, Vietnam, the Philippines and other countries.
